SL-C

If you picked up a magazine like Road and Track or Car and Driver, you would see that factory supercars were all the rage. The problem is, cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mclaren are way out of the average guy’s price range and mechanical understanding. With the SL-C project, Stacey set out to show that it is possible for a person to build a true 200mph supercar in their garage for about the price of a new Corvette! If that sounds crazy... it’s not! Starting with an SL-C from Superlite cars, Stacey walks through the engineering and construction of a vehicle that is capable of stepping over the 200mph threshold and coming back safely. This project focuses on high-tech, state of the art construction and science that deals with everything from aerodynamics to metallurgy. If you like cars that are capable of flying and are somehow able to stay on the ground, the SL-C project is for you!
